Is the Wellness Society "approved" by the FPTA?

Yes! The Wellness Society is an approved provider of continuing education by the Florida Physical Therapy Association (FPTA): #50-27270.  All seminars offered by the Wellness Society may be used to fulfill PT licensure renewal requirements. The Wellness Society will furnish to each attendee a Certificate of Completion as well as report completions directly to CE Broker.

May I attend if I am a PTA?

No (sorry).

The FPTA has approved our seminars for PTs only.

May I attend if I am a PT from a state other than Florida?

Yes, HOWEVER ... Although the Wellness Society has had its seminars approved by the Florida Physical Therapy Association (FPTA) (via CE Broker) - we have not sought approval by other state PT boards.

Why? Because t is expected that most if not all of the attendees will be FL licensed PTs and, to be frank, the cost for a provider (such as the Wellness Society) to have a  12 hour seminar/course approved is ~ $300 per state, per year!

So, if you are a licensed PT in a state other than Florida, you will need to obtain from and submit to your own state PT board an "Individual Course Approval" application. The good news is that the Wellness Society will reimburse you your state's fee (often ~ $50).

Is there a group discount?

  • Yes! Enroll in seminar now and when you find someone to attend with you just message us with that PT's name. Each of you will be reimbursed 10% of the price of the seminar on the first day of the seminar!

FUN FACT: Why is the Wellness Society website ".org" instead of ".com" or ".net"?

".com" is for FOR-profit commercial entities and ".net" was created for FOR-profit companies in networking technology In contrast, ".org" was created specifically for NON-profit entities. So there you have it!

Don't procrastinate any longer!

Are there group rates for lodging?

  • Yes! The Hampton Inn & Suites at Riverfront Park offers the WELLNESS SOCIETY a group rate of $109 per night. But hurry, you MUST book no less than 1 month in advance of your seminar date to get the $109 rate!
  • Would you like to stay in Palatka longer than just the Saturday night? The Hampton Inn & Suites will honor the group rate for a multi-night stay. Please call the hotel directly at 386.530.2420 and speak to the Manager Lara MacGibbin. Thank you!

After viewing this website someone asked: Wow - do you get kickbacks from Palatka?

No. We talk about local restaurants, entertainment venues, etc to let you know Palatka is a good location to attend a seminar. There's little to no traffic yet you're able to get some fresh air by the beautiful St John's river during the seminar's breaks/lunch.

Also, if you stay over Saturday night, there are some great lodging options and places to have some fun! I lived in St Augustine for many years and, believe me, I used to frown at the thought of Palatka. But it really does have more than enough to offer for at least a short visit - including some amazing seminars about wellness and physical therapy!

What does the seminar fee include and exclude?

The seminar fee includes attendance at the seminar and all seminar materials - both online files and that which will be provided in hard copy at the seminar. The seminar fee does not include lodging, meals or transportation.

May I attend a seminar if there are already 25 therapists enrolled?

  • No (sorry). We will not enroll more than 25 therapists. Put simply, we believe the teaching and learning experience is improved with a smaller class size.

  • Transfer of enrollment to another physical therapist may be made at any time without fee or penalty. If you would like initiate a transfer please message us.
  • Cancellation with a full refund minus a $20 administration fee if notice is received within two weeks of the seminar. If received afterwards, then a credit in the dollar amount paid will be issued and can be applied to a future seminar.
